The Festival of Rights is a signature Bend the Arc event that celebrates the spirit and holiday of Hanukkah by honoring community leaders whose work has been instrumental to local campaigns around criminal justice reform, immigration reform, and housing and homelessness. The event will celebrate the graduation of our current cohort of the Jeremiah Fellowship Program, which gives young justice-minded Jews ages 22-32 the opportunity to explore how Jewish values, culture and community can support and further their goals. Fellows will have spent the last six months exploring the intersections of Judaism and justice, while also building their leadership in Bend the Arc’s local and statewide campaigns. This event will bring together 75-100 Arc Benders and allies from the area, introduce them to one another and to the graduates, and celebrate our growing multi-faith movement for justice. We are excited at the opportunity to again be part of the Infinite Light program this year, and to partner with NuRoots to connect more young adults to Bend the Arc’s work.
